George Clinical, a leading Asia-Pacific based clinical research organization (CRO) with global capabilities, today announced that Dr. Maria Ali has been promoted to Chief Medical Officer to be based out of Raleigh, North Carolina. This move further solidifies the strategic growth of George Clinical throughout North America and recognizes Dr. Ali’s strong performance implementing the organization’s signature scientific leadership model.
“Maria’s elevation to this role recognizes her exemplary achievements to date and consolidates the hybrid of functions she will be overseeing,” James Cheong, George Clinical Chief Operating Officer said. “Maria’s relocation to North Carolina compliments the hands-on service that George Clinical’s customers have come to expect. She will maintain oversight management of her global team from Raleigh and will make regular visits to the Asia-Pacific region.”
Dr. Ali has substantial experience in public health, clinical research, and research management, across a range of settings, including hospitals, academic and clinical research organizations.
